Lights, Camera, Social Media: Our Takeaways from the Multifamily Social Media Summit

Written by Katie Rose | Mar 17, 2025 5:04:47 PM

The Multifamily Social Media Summit was nothing short of incredible! Whitney Sullender, EVP of Sales, Ashley Aldaco, SVP of Sales, and Katie Rose, Marketing Director, attended this year’s event, and we had the best time. From inspiring sessions to engaging conversations, this event was a reminder of just how powerful digital storytelling is in the multifamily industry. As a leader in visual media technology, LCP Media knows that great content isn’t just about posting—it’s about creating experiences. Social media is where potential residents discover, engage, and connect with their future homes, making virtual tours, photography, and high-quality video content essential tools for marketers.

Leading the Conversation: Our Sponsored Session with Keenya Kelly

We were thrilled to sponsor "How To Create Video Content That Is On-brand, Relevant & High Converting For Your Multifamily Community" featuring Keenya Kelly, CEO of If You Brand It and an expert in vertical video marketing. But before Keenya took the stage, we had the opportunity to introduce LCP Media and share how we’re helping multifamily brands elevate their video content with ease.

Since Keenya’s session focused on the power of short-form video, we highlighted two of our most impactful offerings:

  • TourBuilder Clips – AI-powered, short-form video clips generated directly from virtual tours to create engaging marketing content effortlessly. With TourBuilder Clips, you can instantly transform your 3D virtual tours into snackable, high-performing videos—perfect for social media, ILS platforms, and digital ads. This marketing content is available to all our clients with TourBuilder virtual tours at no extra cost.
  • 3D Renderings Social Media Add-On – High-quality 3D renderings animated into short-form video content designed specifically to help developers and communities pre-lease before construction is even completed. These videos turn still renderings into dynamic, visually compelling content, making them perfect for marketing campaigns, websites, and, of course, social media. Each rendering is created in-house by our talented 3D team, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail.

We know that short-form video content performs the best online, but we also know that creating it can be time-consuming. That’s where LCP Media comes in. We take the work off your plate by producing ready-to-use, highly engaging content. Whether it’s TourBuilder Clips, 3D Renderings, Social Media Add-Ons, or virtual tours, our goal is to make high-quality visual content easy and accessible for multifamily marketers.

Her expertise reinforced what we already know—video content isn’t optional; it’s essential. Multifamily brands need to be engaging, fast, and relevant to capture attention in today's social media landscape, and LCP Media is here to make that happen.

A Toast to Partnerships

One of the most memorable moments of the Multifamily Social Media Summit was our dinner at RH Yountville in Napa with REACH by RentCafe. The stunning atmosphere, incredible food, and great company made for an unforgettable evening. It was a special opportunity to connect with our clients in a relaxed setting, sharing meaningful conversations about the future of multifamily marketing.

What made this night even more exciting was celebrating a major milestone—LCP Media joining the Yardi family. This partnership strengthens our ability to provide cutting-edge visual media solutions to the multifamily industry, and what better way to celebrate than over an incredible meal with the people who matter most—our clients and partners.

Key Takeaways from the Sessions

The Multifamily Social Media Summit focused on creating engaging, effective content for today’s renters. A big theme was authenticity over polished advertising—people want real, relatable content.

Another major takeaway was the rise of recommended media—content is now surfaced based on user interest, not just followers. Thinking like a content creator is more important than ever, with a focus on storytelling, engagement, and value first. Show the community experience, not just the property. The best-performing content is direct, clear, and entertaining, which is why short-form videos, dynamic visuals, and virtual tours work so well in marketing.

AI was another hot topic, with multiple sessions reinforcing the importance of giving AI clear, detailed input to get the best results. One of the most interesting things they shared? AI is expected to have a brain as big as a human’s by 2030. Wild to think about how quickly it’s advancing—but the key takeaway? AI still needs us. I loved when they talked about speaking to AI like a human—the more natural, direct, and detailed you are, the better results you get. It’s something we’ve seen firsthand in our own use of AI-driven tools, and it’s clear that while AI enhances efficiency, human creativity and strategy remain essential.

Beyond tactics and tools, the opening session reminded us that innovation isn’t just about fixing problems—it’s about creating something new. That’s something we strongly believe at LCP Media, where we’re always looking for ways to push multifamily marketing forward through visual media, AI-powered tools, and interactive experiences that engage renters in meaningful ways.

Wrapping Up an Incredible Conference

We had an amazing time at the Multifamily Social Media Summit, connecting with industry peers, sharing ideas, and walking away with fresh insights and inspiration. Each of us gained valuable takeaways from the sessions and enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones.

Whitney Sullender, Executive Vice President of Sales: "I’ve attended the Multifamily Social Media Summit multiple times, but this one might just be my favorite. The sessions were insightful, but the real highlight was connecting with so many amazing people—both new and familiar faces. Our dinner at RH Yountville was extra special as we celebrated LCP Media joining the Yardi family, making this year’s conference even more memorable. Can’t wait for next year!"

Ashley Aldaco, Senior Vice President of Sales: "The Multifamily Social Media Summit was an incredibly insightful experience, enriched by deep discussions and meaningful connections. The engaging dinner conversations, set against Napa’s stunning backdrop, made it even more memorable. It was especially exciting to attend alongside some of the REACH by RentCafe team, particularly in the wake of the acquisition announcement."

Katie Rose, Marketing Director: "The Multifamily Social Media Summit is one of my absolute favorites. It was the first conference I ever attended in the multifamily industry, and this was my fifth time back. Social media and marketing are my passion, and I love seeing how strategies evolve while the fundamentals stay the same—people want to see their homes, and for suppliers, they want to see what we offer. I gained great takeaways from the sessions and loved reconnecting with some of my favorite people in the industry."

Looking Ahead: The Power of Visual Media in Social Marketing

The Multifamily Social Media Summit was a reminder of how fast social media evolves—and how important visual media is in making a lasting impact. Whether it’s short-form video, dynamic virtual tours, or eye-catching photography, the right content engages, informs, and converts. As marketers, we’re not just promoting properties—we’re creating experiences that help people envision their future homes.

At LCP Media, we’re passionate about helping multifamily brands stand out with high-quality visual media and innovative technology that makes content creation easier and more effective. We left this year’s summit feeling inspired, and we’re excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in multifamily marketing.
